Professor Margaret Martonosi is one of eleven Princeton faculty members elected into the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. At Princeton, teaching faculty are especially important because computer science is the most popular major at the University, with more than 10% of undergraduates receiving a CS degree. But student interest in computer science extends well beyond those who want to make it a career. During the fall semester, 789 non-computer-science majors took courses offered by the department, and the total rose to 926 in the spring semester, according to Colleen Kenny, the department’s undergraduate program manager.
