Feamster and Rexford win NSDI Test of Time Award
May 6, 2015
Congratulations to Professors Nick Feamster and Jennifer Rexford for winning the NSDI (Networked Systems Design and Implementation) "Test of Time" Award. This prestigious award was granted for their 2005 paper entitled "Design and implementation of a Routing Control Platform," and co-authored with Matthew Caesar, Donald Caldwell, Aman Shaikh, and Jacobus van der Merwe. Feamster and Rexford's paper laid foundations for what we now call "Software-Defined Networking" (SDN), perhaps the most important new networking architecture of the last decade.
