Forman Acton, pioneer in early computing, dies
Forman Sinnickson Acton, a Princeton University professor of computer science, emeritus, who witnessed and helped pioneer the evolution of his field from its early days as a branch of mathematics to a stand-alone discipline that has revolutionized society, died Feb. 18, at age 93.

Congratulations to David Steurer*10 and Sharon Goldberg*09 on receiving a Sloan Research Fellowships. Goldberg received her PhD in Electical Engineering, however her advisors were Computer Science Professors Jennifer Rexford and Boaz Barak. Goldberg is now an assistant professor at Boston University.
