Martonosi paper receives Long-Term Influential Paper Award at ISCA

Margaret Martonosi received this year’s International Symposium of Computer Architecture (ISCA) Long-Term Influential Paper award, along with her co-authors David Brooks*01 and Vivek Tiwari*96. This award is given out annually at ISCA to the paper from fifteen years prior that is deemed most influential. They received the award for their ISCA 2000 paper entitled “Wattch: A Framework for Architectural-Level Power Analysis and Optimizations”. This paper has the highest citation count of any paper in the history of the conference, and the open-source tool released with the paper has seen extensive worldwide use.
