Congratulations to
Shuran Song for being awarded the 2015-2016
Facebook Ph.D. Fellowship in Computer Vision. Shuran is a second-year PhD student in Computer Science and is advised by Professor
Jianxiong Xiao. Her research focuses on data-driven scene understanding in 3D and has been featured in the "
Discovery: Research at Princeton" magazine. Shuran has also recently been named to
Princeton Innovation's 25 Under 25. Though she is only really just beginning the PhD program, she has already published five papers in top computer vision conferences. You can see her talk on "sliding shapes"
here --- it was the most popular lecture at ECCV2014, a top computer vision conference with roughly 2000 attendees.
