Develop an idea for a new company. If your idea lends itself to this, and you have a team member(s) who can do this, implement a prototype of the product. Develop a pitch to VCs to raise money for your company. This is not a business plan. Develop what you think will be needed to give a great pitch and get substantial funding. Search the web to find out what people say about a great pitch. Be sure to include the financial model (the best you can) and the funding needs and terms you envision. You will write a few pages (See Below) on your plan, and present for about 10 minutes during final exam period. The ideal case is where you implement a prototype, and structure your team with complementary skill sets. But if you don't implement, be sure to at least show clear, well designed mockups/screenshots of your product experience.

This project may be done individually or as a group of up to three people. The requirements for groups are different than those for indviduals.

The project has these components. Everyone must complete (1) and (2), but (3) and (4) vary based on group size:

  1. Paper
  2. Presentation (a VC pitch)
  3. UI Mockups / Design (added as an appendix to your paper, and probably referenced in your presentation.)
  4. Working Implementation (Screenshots in paper/presentation, plus working demo.)

Responibilities for Individuals/Groups:
