General Information

Course Summary

This class covers recent research in widely-distributed network services, with a focus on infrastructure services; e.g., resource and topology discovery, decentralized resource allocation, anomaly detection, and network monitoring. The first half of the semester will involve lectures and reading papers from the literature. The second half will be devoted to group programming projects running on PlanetLab. Both graduate and undergraduate students are encouraged to register. This class will meet jointly with CS597C.
