autoMAC is a system developed by the support staff in the Princeton University department of Computer Science. Using a number of open source tools, as well as some locally-developed software, the system leverages host registration to automatically connect hosts to the correct VLAN whenever they are connected to the network.
A paper about this system was presented at the USENIX LISA '04 conference and is available in the conference proceedings. A webified version of the PowerPoint presentation given at the conference is available.
Once we work out the details, we will be making some of our software and configuration files available.
Please excuse this extremely simple web page. We've been spending our time getting ready for LISA '04.
